Welcome to One World Tour And Travels. By reserving a holiday tour, booking private cab rentals, reserving houseboats, or confirming any travel itinerary with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please review them carefully before remitting advance deposits.
1. What Are the Advance Booking Deposit & Payment Terms?
- Booking Advance: To confirm any customized tour itinerary, hotel reservation, or private cab rental, a mandatory 20% advance deposit of the total quoted itinerary cost is required.
- Booking Voucher: Upon receipt and bank verification of the 20% advance, our Srinagar office will issue an official Confirmation Voucher and day-wise travel schedule.
- Balance Clearance: The remaining 80% balance amount must be settled in full upon arrival in Srinagar before check-in to your designated hotel or commencement of road transit. Payments can be completed via UPI, Net Banking, or Cash.
- Peak Season Exceptions: During peak tourist periods (Tulip Festival, May–June summer holidays, Diwali, Christmas/New Year, and peak snow season in Gulmarg), partner luxury hotels may require up to 50% advance payment to guarantee non-cancellable inventory.
2. What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy for Kashmir Tours?
All cancellation requests must be communicated in writing via email to info@oneworldtourandtravels.com or through our verified WhatsApp helpline (+91 9541339798). Refunds are processed according to the following schedule:
| Cancellation Window Prior to Arrival | Refund Eligibility |
|---|---|
| 30 days or more | Full refund of advance deposit minus 10% administrative & bank processing fee. |
| 15 to 29 days | 50% refund of the advance deposit amount. |
| Less than 14 days or No-Show | Non-refundable (advance is committed to partner hotels and dedicated vehicle retention). |
3. How Are High-Altitude Terrain & Force Majeure Events Handled?
Kashmir is a high-altitude mountainous region where weather, snowfall, and road passes can change unexpectedly:
- Natural Circumstances: We are not liable for delays, rerouting, or cancellations caused by acts of God, unexpected avalanches, heavy blizzards, landslides on NH-44 (Jammu-Srinagar National Highway), road blockages on Mughal Road or Zojila Pass, flight disruptions, or administrative road closures.
- Gulmarg Gondola Operations: The Gulmarg Gondola Cable Car is owned and operated exclusively by the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). In instances of extreme winds, lightning, technical maintenance, or government VIP movement, Gondola tickets are governed by JKCCC refund guidelines.
- Alternative Arrangements: In any force majeure situation, our Lal Chowk emergency team will make every feasible effort to provide safe alternative routes, substitute sightseeing points, or arrange safe accommodations.
4. Local Union Cab & Sightseeing Rules
- Pahalgam Sightseeing: Trips to Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari require hiring vehicles registered with the local Pahalgam Taxi Union.
- Sonamarg Sightseeing: Visiting Zero Point and Thajiwas Glacier requires local union vehicles or certified union ponies.
- Winter Snow Chains in Tangmarg: During heavy winter snowfall between Tangmarg and Gulmarg, vehicles must be equipped with anti-skid tire chains or guests must board local 4x4 chain-equipped union gypsy cabs for safety.
- These local union services may either be pre-budgeted into your custom itinerary upon request or paid directly at government-notified union counters.
5. What Mandatory Government Identity Proof is Required?
- All Indian adult guests must carry an original government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driver's License). PAN cards are not accepted as address proof by J&K hotels.
- Foreign tourists, NRIs, and OCI holders must carry their valid Passport, Indian Visa, or OCI card for statutory police registration at hotels and houseboats.
6. What Are the Houseboat & Hotel Check-In / Check-Out Norms?
- Standard check-in time at hotels and houseboats is 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to room availability and property policy.
- Houseboat stays on Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake include scheduled Shikara cross-over boat transfers from the designated ghat.
- Meal plans (EP - Room only, CP - Breakfast, MAPAI - Breakfast & Dinner) follow fixed hotel buffet timings. Room service orders or a-la-carte dishes outside the meal plan are payable directly by the guest.
